7 tips to improve your relationships

7 tips to improve your relationships

1. Careful consideration. You meet the person of your dreams. But please calm yourself down long enough to listen to everything your partner says and assess its possible impact on your relationship. Carefully consider to all aspects of your partner’s character, words and behaviour so that you make balanced (mental as well as emotional) choices about love.

2. Calm. In the midst of a spirited disagreement, take the time to count to 20 (or 100 if you need to!) to calm yourself down and maintain your composure.

3. Courtesy. ‘Please’, ‘would you mind’, ‘excuse me’, and ‘thank you’ are important phrases to use freely at home as well as with the general public. During discussions express your thoughts, ask for what you want, and then give the floor over to your partner to respond. And listen!

4. Cooperation. In the spirit of cooperation, the couple agrees to respect each other, to avoid calling each other names, and to avoid bringing up old stuff that has nothing to do with the situation at hand.

5. Call. Call to say ‘hello’ from work. Call to say ‘I was thinking about how much I love you’. Call to say you ‘will be late’. Call to give advance notice that you are bringing home a guest. Call to ask if there is anything needed from the market.

6. Commitment. Commit to identifying a solution that works for the relationship. Your goal is to have a long-term, happy union, which may at times mean you have to concede a few points and find a middle ground.

7. Compromise. You give something to get something. You exchange desires sometimes because it makes your partner happy. It is good for your relationship or marriage, so you do it without keeping tabs.

Self Empowerment.

Self Empowerment.

To fill your self with a quality or power, which you feel you do not have or one, which is lacking inside you, try the following exercise. Suppose you feel that you lack contentment (satisfaction). To increase this quality inside you, sit comfortably in a pleasant room with your eyes open.

Withdraw (remove) energy mentally from everything around you – turn your attention inward. You might think of how a tortoise withdraws into its shell to detach itself from the outside world, but carrying the experience of the world with it inside its shelter.

Create a point of consciousness. Focus on the centre of your forehead. Think of this point as a bright star, a sparkling jewel, a flame or a being of light. This will radiate positive energy, making you feel good about yourself.

Affirm (strengthen) this positive energy through positive thoughts and images about yourself such as ”I am a contented soul, I shower everyone whom I meet with the quality of contentment”, “I am a jewel of contentment”, or “I am the child of the Supreme Soul, the Ocean of Contentment”.

Focus your energy on contentment, and let this become the object of your meditation. As you focus, you will give contentment life, turning a thought into a feeling.

Experience this feeling by giving your conscious attention to it.

During the entire day, you could visualize yourself performing each action in the canopy (shelter) of the Ocean of Contentment. Now perform this exercise for different virtues like cheerfulness, courage, humility (egolessness), tolerance, forgiveness, determination, etc. especially for the ones you think are lacking inside you. For the qualities already existing inside you, you could use this exercise to strengthen those features of your personality and bring them more into your actions and interactions.

Negative situations cn b transformd into positive

Projection
When faced with a negative situation, usually the mind gets
affected. Lot of questions arise in the mind that don't allow
me to be stable at that time. Because of the thoughts in
my mind, Although it is in my hands to work at transforming
the situation I don't make use of this opportunity but only
end up adding to the negativity.

Solution
In a negative situation, it is necessary for me to maintain my
own inner stability. I need to free myself from wasteful thoughts.
Then the negativity in the situation will finish, first in my mind
and then in the situation itself. My own internal stability will help
in finishing the influence of the external situation.

Overcome weakness by reminding positive qualities.

Projection:
When we make a mistake we usually realize the need to remove that
weakness but our identification with that particular weakness is so
much that we are not able to overcome it.

Solution:
Instead of reminding ourselves again and again about our weaknesses
we need to remind ourselves of our positive qualities. The more we
do that we will slowly be able to emerge these qualities and work
with them and slowly we'll be able to overcome our weaknesses.

Where there is courage there is success.

Projection:
When we are involved in a task, we sometimes experience setbacks. Such setbacks often make us lose our confidence and we no longer have faith that we will succeed in the task. We then lose all courage to go ahead with the task and lose every chance of achieving what we have to.

Solution:
We need to remind ourselves that we achieve success to the extent that we have courage. We need to make effort to maintain our courage even during the most difficult circumstances. Only when we do this will we continue to put in effort, which will bring us
success at the right time.

To transform oneself is to be victorious.

Projection:

When in a discussion or debate with someone, we usually want to have the last word. We want the others to understand us. When we succeed in this we feel we are a winner. But we find that neither is the other person satisfied with us nor are we able to learn anything new.

Solution:

In order to be a winner in all situations, we need to pay special attention to keep learning from each situation. We need to see in what aspect we can bring about transformation in ourselves instead of trying to prove ourselves right. This will make us truly victorious.

Always keep mind happy . . .

Projection:

When we have some difficulty with our body, we usually find our mind becoming dull, too. When the mind becomes dull we no longer can fight the sickness. It, thus, takes a long time to get well and the time during the sickness seems long and painful.

Solution

We need to make sure we keep our mind happy under all circumstances. Where the mind is healthy no illness will attack us. Even when we fall sick we will be able to be stable which will help us to fight back and overcome the illness very soon.

Talk Therapy

Talk therapy

Talk therapy is simply talking about what is bothering you.
Talk therapy can be practiced with a friend or loved one,
a family member, or a therapist. Talking about your
problems can help you to spot things that are causing
problems in your life. A person with a different
perspective on your situation can help you decide how to
fix the problems you are having, and how to deal with
the things you can’t fix. Through discussion, you can find
ways to handle your problems so that the same issues
won’t continually disrupt your life .

There are There Types Of Talk Therapy

Cognitive therapy

Behavioral therapy

Interpersonal therapy

Cognitive therapy

Cognitive therapy helps you change harmful ways of
thinking. If you tend to see things negatively, it teaches
you how to look at the world more clearly.

Example: You drop by to see a friend, but she
says she doesn’t have time to talk. Your first
thought is that she’s angry with you. This
makes you feel worried and anxious. Soon you
are trapped in a flood of negative thinking.

Therapy: Talk therapy can help you focus on
your reaction to your friend’s behavior.
Perhaps what she said has nothing to do with
you. Maybe she was having a bad day. Perhaps
she was late for an appointment. Thinking of other
reasons for her actions help you see the event in
a more positive and accurate way.

Behavioral therapy

Behavioral therapy helps you change harmful ways of
acting. The goal is to get control over behavior that is
causing problems for you.

Example: You were mugged, and now you are
terrified of being alone in public. You can’t go
anywhere alone, and you are beginning to miss
days at work and school.

Therapy: Talk therapy can help you to face
your fears. Discussing your problems with a
trusted person can help you do begin to
overcome those fears and take control of your life.

Interpersonal therapy

Interpersonal therapy helps you learn to relate better
with others. You’ll focus on how to express your feelings,
and how to develop better people skills.

Example: You and your mother are not
getting along. She doesn’t approve of your
significant other, or your group of friends.
You feel that she is trying to run your life.

Therapy: Talk therapy can help you see your
mother’s point of view. Perhaps she feels you
don’t spend time with her anymore. Finding
new ways of talking to your mother helps
you both feel better.

Remember that talk therapy doesn’t have to be difficult.
The simple act of discussing your feelings allows you to
gain new insight and perspective. Talk therapy can also
help to enrich your life by bringing the people that you
love closer to you.

Chakra Meditation

Chakra Meditation
As you sit erect, your spine in line with the earth's center, envision a vertical double helix of vibrant energy embracing and dancing around your spinal column, magnetizing and polarizing your hollow core. One spiral comes down from above and infuses dense matter with the spirit of life. One spiral draws the power of the earth up to meet the light above your head. Your entire biological existence is a reflection of the balance and play of these two powerful forces, flowing and glowing, between the magnetic poles of your spine.

Chakra Meditation - ROOT CHAKRA
Take a deep breath and pull it down through your body to the very base of your spine, the seat of the first chakra. As you release the air, relax all the muscles in your toes, feet and legs. Take in more air and focus on your connecting point to the earth. Now release the air, .. relax down through your body, and continue to send your attention deep into the center of the earth. Picture magnetic lines of force coming from the earth's core, connecting with your own root center. Allow that force to arise within you, from below.
Imagine a feeling of power surging into this "root" center from the deep center of the earth. As it increases, keep your attention on this powerful magnetic energy at the bottom of your spine.
Focusing at the base of the spine, imagine that with each breath, energy collects and builds up there. Continue to relax, and sense the feelings in the coccyx, perineum, anus, and deep inside your pelvic cavity, the foundation of your body. Sensing your root center, breathe as if the earth's energy is coming directly into you from below. Allow the energy to build, like a growing, magnetic force.
Feel the weight of your attachment to the earth: its gravitational pull on your body, through the mass of rock.. dirt.. clay.. and minerals. Sense the huge mass of the planet under you, pulling you down towards dense earth. You are born of this earth, and when you die, your body will return to it.

Chakra Meditation - ROOT CHAKRA
Earth animal that you are, you eat of the earth and eliminate earth fertilizer. Your awareness is purely biological, immersed in life's ecological cycles. In the womb of creation, you are pulsating flesh, bound by living sinews and fibers. The dominant color is blood red. Smell your own odors. Feel the cool dirt.Be aware of your pelvic area, legs, and feet. Feel the density of your bones, the core and support structure of your body, minerals taken up from the earth and deposited inside you, compacted by gravity, formed against the pull of the earth. You are at the most primitive stage of evolution. Your behavior is animal-instinctual and reactive. You are motivated by survival drives, such as hunger and fear. You are isolated and fiercely individual. All you know of reality is physical and self--referent. Like an infant, you identify solely with the body, and exist in a sensory, material realm of stimulus and response. You experience yourself at the center of everything that happens. You love to eat and sleep. You fear pain, and death.Your sole purpose is self-preservation. Persistent and self-sufficient, you can be greedy or aggressive. Allow yourself to acknowledge your "dark" side, and your potential for "small- mindedness," for it is the necessary lesson of this level of existence. Know yourself as an inheritor of animal instincts, and primitive tendencies. Fully accept that you are a creature of habits and needs, rooted in the earth.Continuing to breathe in and out through your lowest nerve plexus, allow your body to begin to feel that you are in a safe place. Perhaps you feel secure and comfortable enough to let go of your protection.. to relax, and sigh. You could use the affirmation. "I belong on this earth." (repeat..) or "Here and now, I feel safe." (repeat..).As your breath pulls up the Earth's energies, picture at your root center, a red square box, filled with dark, rich soil which is moist and cool. Inside, a coiled serpent is sleeping Your task is to warm the envir

Chakra Power

First Chakra — Usually depicted as red, the root chakra is found at the base of the spine, and its area of consciousness is the material world. Through its power, we learn grounding and survival in the physical world. The root is associated with the reproductive and eliminative systems.

Second Chakra — The second chakra has many names, including the belly chakra, spleen chakra, sex chakra or sacral chakra. Orange in color, located near the navel, its lessons are about trust, intimacy and learning to listen to our “gut” feelings. The belly chakra is associated with reproductive and lower digestive systems.

Third Chakra — Known as the solar plexus, this is the yellow chakra of power. Here we struggle with issues of personal power, fear, anger and the appropriate use of force. The organs of the third chakra are the upper digestive system, liver and adrenals.

Fourth Chakra — The fourth chakra is the heart chakra, the balance point between the three lower and three upper chakras. Sometimes described as an emerald green with a pink center, it is the center of love, empathy and emotion. The heart muscle, circulatory system and immune systems are linked with this energy center.

Fifth Chakra — The throat chakra is blue and relates to our powers of communication and expression. An important point to remember is that the throat chakra rules both speaking and listening, because both are needed in communication. The mouth, throat and respiratory system are ruled by the fifth chakra.

Sixth Chakra — The powers of the sixth chakra are the abilities most often sought out by those new to the mystical. Called the third eye, or brow chakra, it is associated with psychic vision and intuition. Physically, the third eye rules the lower brain and nervous system.

Seventh Chakra — The last chakra is the crown, colored violet or dazzling white, and it is the point of spiritual contact. Here we touch the divine. As the root is our physical, foundational chakra, the crown is the charka for our spiritual foundation. The crown is associated with the whole body, but in particular the higher brain functions, nervous system and endocrine system.

Chakra Meditation - SECOND CHAKRA: LIBIDO
Keeping the first chakra open, take a long deep breath in, and lift your awareness from your root center, up to the second chakra, the area of your sexual and reproductive organs. Take in more, letting the red energy from below heat up to a glowing orange surge... Now let the air rush out and begin to consciously relax your genital muscles, buttocks, abdomen, hips, and pelvis. Breathe the warm energy into the second chakra, deep inside your sexual center. Allow the power generated below to surge upwards and spread out at this second energy level, like warm, orange lava flowing out of a volcano.
As each breath washes through your sexual center, notice your desires awakening. Moisture softens the earth., it becomes fluid, and the energy of movement develops. Things smell juicy, and you want a taste.
This is the level of sensation, attraction, physical pleasure. It's also the center of regeneration and procreation. Sense the ovaries or testes, prostate, and spleen.. Feel into the very center of your sex. Imagine that each breath you take sensitizes and charges this second level energy center, your reproductive and sexual desire plexus.
Breathe freely through the second chakra as if drawing energy up from the earth, feeling the surge as you release any residual tightness from the genital muscles, anus, buttocks, thighs, and down your legs. Tune into any sense of warmth or vibration, and allow it to gradually grow, while breathing and centering on this sexual-pro-creative power within you, the most powerful biological force in the universe. At this time and place, give in to the urge to feel it totally. Feel the pleasure in your groin and glands.

THIRD CHAKRA: POWER
Now take a deeper inhalation and lift your awareness to the third chakra, the abdominal/solar plexus center in your belly. While exhaling, let your attention settle here in your middle, your center of gravity. The color changes from orange to radiant bright yellow.
Imagine that your breath comes not through your nose, but directly into your belly. Feel the air flowing into your guts. As you meditate on this glowing power center, sense the force within your diaphragm that moves your breath in and out automatically. Allow that innate rhythm free range to determine the depth and pace of your breathing, and feel how it gently affects the surrounding areas. Continue letting all your stomach muscles relax deeper, and feel the entire diaphragm itself relaxing.
The third chakra governs the pancreas and adrenals glands, and the organs of the stomach, intestines, the kidneys, gall bladder, and the diaphragm. Feel these organs inside you. This "solar plexus" energy center controls breathing and digestion, as oxygen and nutrients catalyze and release your body heat.
The belly center, or hara; is your gravitational center and the source of your personal power. It is linked to your body's "fight or flight" mechanism, and reflects your moment to moment dynamics with the outside world: whether you feel vulnerable or trusting; in control or afraid; if you fear - if you are anxious, defensive, or aggressive - it shows up as abdominal tightness and restricted breathing.
So, tell your body that you are in a safe, secure place, and let your belly become as soft as a baby's. Every time you let out a breath, release all muscle tension, along with all remaining negative or protective feelings.

THIRD CHAKRA: POWER
Your belly is the center of control and trust. At the "gut level" we learn to discriminate between friend and foe, distress and exhilaration, and to respond accordingly. From this center you laugh or cry. Both are important.
The color is flame yellow. The energy from below is warming up. Picture a glowing ember being fanned hotter with each breath you take, until a flame appears. Feel the radiant heat from within.
Now you begin to see more of the world and its possibilities. You have discovered others as something more than just food or threat, or sex object. You are developing a social personality. You want the security of belonging. You become concerned with family, territory, politics. You begin to use your will power to affect your environment.
Know yourself as a social being, engaging others as partners and allies, and sometimes, enemies. You can fight for what you want, or compromise for mutual benefit. Now you can sublimate your primal instincts, postpone instant gratification, and instead pursue long--range goals. Now is the time to cultivate your best intentions.
You have the capacity to experience doubt, fear, and inhibition, but you can also be altruistic and heroic. Ambition arises; for status and wealth... yet you can surrender your egocentric view by finding a larger group to give your allegiance, like your family, church, community, or nation. Your behavior is determined by cultural dynamics.
The dangers of this level are self-righteousness and aggression, but you are also learning the value of self-control.
Breathe power into your hara\belly center. Imagine you are lost in a jungle... confused and afraid. Suddenly a cleared path appears before you. The path leads to a cave inside a mountain. In the center of the cave is a fire. Now you recognize your mission is to keep the fire from dying out or raging out of control.

3 ways of living life
1) Karma yog
2) Bhakti yog
3) Gyan yog

1KARMA YOG-
To do things and deeds selflessly and with feelings of worship to god in form of work.
They may be small things like giving seat to an old person, giving water to thirsty, giving food to needy, giving gifts to your servants, etc

To do anything you may give 3 reasons:
1) For myself
2) For parents and family
3) For good of society

*When you do for yourself you may give good output,
*For family you may give better output,
*When you think you are doing for society you give best output because when you keep higher aims and objectives for your work, the thoughts give you more energy to do better and you enjoy the process.

You may have to get up very early at 3 in morning. If you think about your own good, you will think let me sleep more and relax.
But if you think of the work and its importance for good of society, people, you will get the energy and will to get up as you are thinking for others.
Dedicate all the work that to you do to God. Take all work as an opportunity to do good for others as worship to God.

Eg. emperor Akbar told his singer Tansen that he wanted to listen music from Tansen’s guru. tansen took akbar to his guru. The guru told him to wait for listening his songs. And made him wait for 5-7 days which made Akbar tense about why was the guruji doing this.
And then after some days, the guru sang and there was so much love and magic in his music that Akbar told Tansen that he had enjoyed guruji’s music much more than that of Tansen.
To this Tansen replied the difference is that “ I sing for you but guruji sings for God.”
Thus dedicating every work as a worship of god makes it the best performance of yours with pure dedication and love.

2) BHAKTI YOG:
Bhakti yog means loving all beings like a family with god as our creator.
It doesn’t mean praying to god and other religious acts only.
You may say that you are praying god and doing puja whole day but that is not true bhakti.
To show love to all and treat them as one is bhakti yog.
All beings are children of god and so all are equal in front of him.

Now you may say how can I love the boss who scolds me everyday and stops my promotion.
In reality all of us are atma or soul.
Just like a drop of water of sea is still sea only, as it is a part of sea it has all properties of sea.
Same way, we are parts of god and thus we have all qualities of god.
Soul is infinite, of infinite joy and energy.
To see in each living being , see the soul of that person.
The outer state of any person is due to his upbringing, his parents, environment he lives in since he is born. You may or may not like the outer state of the person but see the soul which is real.

Eg: in a jungle, a couple used to live in a simple hut with very few furniture and belongings.
One day, the husband passing by a shop sees his own reflection in a mirror and amazed at who the handsome person is asks the shopkeeper, “what is this?” shopkeeper says it is a mirror.
Husband buys it, takes it home and hides it. He doesn’t tell wife about it. He sees the mirror everyday and feels happy looking at himself. But he hides the mirror from his wife and never tells her about it.
Wife notices many times that husband is hiding something from her. She doesn’t know what is a mirror!!!
And one night when husband is sleeping, she finds the thing and looks at it!! Gets very angry on him!!! She tells him,” so this is what you were hiding from me, photo of a beautiful lady!!!
But she doesn’t know that she is looking at her own reflection in a mirror.
Same way, when we look at others we should see them as souls that is same as we are.
All souls are equal in reality. They are pure, peace loving and full of love.
This way you can love everyone.

Eg: in a bus, a poor person sits next to you.
you don’t like his dirty clothes and mannerless ways. You may first feel hatred towards him.
But think that the person is such because of his past, his environment.
In reality he is a soul. So love the soul and behave well with the person.

Respect all.
Give compliments to good deeds of others, like even the rickshaw wala. You can buy some sweets and give it to him as a token of respect for his service.

3) GYAN YOG:
Gyan yog means spreading knowledge that you have to others.
Knowledge doesn’t become less on giving, but increases.
Eg: in physics,
If you are wearing a red colour shirt and light falls on it. Light is made of 7 colours. The red colour absorbs all colours except red which gets reflected and you see red as colour of shirt.
Here the shirt itself is red and reflects red rays towards us.
By this its red colour doesn’t reduce.
Same way, the knowledge that we spread remains a part of us and others also get benefit of it. Such give and take of knowledge makes society a better, happy and peaceful place to live.

THIS ONE IS VERY INTERSTING!!
CONCEPT OF S1 and S2…

Life is about balancing our emotions and work and rest.
We should balance ourselves to stay and move on with the ever progressing world.
Now let’s take S1 and S2.
S1 means SNEH 1 and S2 means SNEH 2.
S1 is in relaxed state of mind always as he knows the truth of life and accordingly behaves in day to day life. S2 is affected by daily happenings and lives in fear, frustration and tension.

Many times it may happen with us that sum thing bad happens which affects others a lot but we are relaxed about it and still enjoying life as we know the laws of universe.
Here this behavior of our may be surprising to others and they may not even like it.
For example…..
1) your father calls you and says we have suffered losses in lakhs.
Now in S1 state of mind you may say to your father that all this is part of life. We had brought nothing when we were born and when we die we will take nothing. And your father will really think that you need to see a psychologist. Right??!!
2) You may go to a funeral of a relative where all wil be crying. But you know about life and death and so are happy about the death thinking that now your relative is going to a better state in life.
And seeing you relaxed and smiling in funeral everybody we feel like hitting you with shoes!!
3) There is a rich merchant who is sitting relaxed in S1 state of mind. And his servant comes running to say ,” sethji, the car outside met an accident and is in very bad condition”
Sethji is relaxed and says,” so how does it matter to me!!”
Surprised at this servant says,” but it is your car”
So sethji replies,” if its my car, then how does it matter to you. You relax!”

So you see here that if in everyday situations you behave in S1 state of mind you may not be accepted as a normal human being!!!!

So even if you know the truth of life but to stay in world you should balance it with S2 state of mind also that is to show feelings and emotions like everyone; towards different situations even though inside you may be very relaxed!!

NOW SOME THINGS ACCORDING TO BHAGVAD GITA IN 21ST CENTURY!!!!

• Having no needs and living simple doesn’t mean you should leave everything. To live in todays world, you have to accept it and move with it. But always think and do only what is NEEDED.
• When you go for shopping in a mall, you will come across hundreds of things which may tempt you to buy them. On seeing others having different things you may be tempted to buy them.
• But to stay in this costly and fast world, buy things only if you really NEED them. Ask questios to yourself like “ can I do without this thing? Is it going to be profitable to me?”
• This is the way of living simple in terms of bhagvad gita in todays world.this will reduce your unnecessary expenses and keep you happy always.
• You may have a Mercedes and now don’t need a BMW. But still you may feel that you don’t have BMW!!! and so you will spend still more money to buy it and show off!!!
What we do is think of BMW and in doing that you don’t value the Mercedes and so don’t enjoy the pleasures of Mercedes!!!!
Enjoy the Mercedes instead of crying for a BMW!!!!
• In todays world you have infinite things to do, to buy, to enjoy. At times you feel bad that you don’t have this and you cant buy that because it very expensive.

• The fact is that even BILL GATES doesn’t have money to buy the whole world.
• So understand this fact and be happy and content with what you have in present.
• Be relaxed about the fact that others have many things which you don’t have.
• Accept it that you cant be everywhere in this world at same time.
• Accept it that you cant have everything in this world.
• Enjoy and be happy and thankful about what you have. That is living in present.
• If you have extra and don’t need some things than give it to someone who needs it.
• All the deeds that you do in present, in future you are gOIng to get the result of it.
• Depending upon the nature of your deeds ( good , bad) you will get the results which will decide your future. So check out what you are doing.
• God doesn’t say leave everything t stay a simple life. He says be happy with all things that you have, enjoy them, but don’t have new desires.

• Today there are many things to do other than what you are doing in your life. Others may tempt you and you may get distracted from it.
But the way out is to learn to say NO and accept it when other also say NO. have FOCUS of what you want to do. Say no when others want you to do things that take you away from your focus.
That is very important in today’s fast world.

• You may worry about the past and future. And in that worry you will not enjoy and value the present. So forget the things of past that hurt you and disturb you. Bad happens to all at some point in their lives. Accept this fact.
• Be thankful to god and others in your life and society. Enjoy and live in present moment.
• Also there may be sad things happening in your present. Accept it that those are results of your past deeds and its now in your hands to make your present and future good by thinking and doing positive things.
• Change is the law of the world.
• Expectations from others lead to anger and destruction if not fulfilled.
• Understand that others are different and of different thinking and lifestyle. They have their own things to do.
• So you cant expect others to be as you want at all time.
• Other law of world is that work gives you more energy, joy and relaxation. Being idle and doing no good for yourself and others wont make you happy and relaxed.
• Giving and returning to society in whatever form and size you can will increase your energy and joy of life.
• Fill yourself with so much love and joy that it spreads out to others!!!

• DESIRE > ATTACHMENT> EXPTECTATIONS > ANGER > TOTAL DESTRUCTION

• This is a face of desires. that it leads ot anger and destruction when not fulfilled. So keep your desires in check. You may have many needs but they should be purely needed to live a peaceful and fruitful life. Also your deeds should not harm others as in that you are being selfish.

• Do things which are needed to be done in a selfless manner. Bhagvad gita says do your work without thinking of what you get in return. You may not even know that what you are doing is beneficial for some needy person and is making lives of many people better.

• If you think what you will get in return out of doing something you will not give your 100% to it. Do all work as a dedication to God. Think that it is helping others.

• God knows when and how you need to get what you deserve!!

• Life is like a company. If you do good work you will get a higher position. If you do bad work you will be taken to a lower position. Same is the working of the world.

So all the work that you do in life is going to take you somewhere in some position. Work for your family, society humanity. Instead of using your energy in anger and bad work in revenge of some bad things in society andi n your life, do good worh which will heal the world and spread love and harmony.

Gospel of Strength

Gospel of Strength

Stop Becoming Weak!
Strength, strength, it is that we want so much in this life, for what we call sin and sorrow have all one cause, and that is out weakness. With weakness comes ignorance, and with ignorance comes misery.

Never be weak. You must be strong; you have infinite strength within you.

Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin--to say that you are weak
The only saint is that soul that never weakens and faces everything.

All weakness, all bondage is imagination... Do not weaken!... Stand up and be strong! That is all the religion I know.

Know that all sins and all evils can be summed up in that one word, weakness. It is weakness that is the motive power in all evil-doing; it is weakness that is the source of all selfishness; it is weakness that makes men injure others; it is weakness that makes them manifest what they are not in reality

The weak have no place here, in this life or in any other life. Weakness leads to slavery. Weakness leads to all kinds of misery, physical and mental. Weakness is death. There are hundreds of thousands of microbes surrounding us, but they cannot harm us unless we become weak, until the body is ready and predisposed to receive them. There may be a million microbes of misery floating about us. Never mind! They dare not approach us, they have no power to get a hold on us, until the mind is weakened. This is the great fact: strength is life, weakness is death. Strength is felicity, life eternal, immortal; weakness is constant strain and misery; weakness is death
You must retain great strength in your mind and words. "I am low, I am low"--repeating these ideas in the mind, man belittles and degrades himself.

Sin may be said to be the feeling of every kind of weakness. From this weakness spring jealousy, malice, and so forth. Hence weakness is sin.

What we want is strength, so believe in yourselves... Make your nerves strong. What we want is muscles of iron and nerves of steel. We have wept long enough. No more weeping, but stand on your own feet and be men

What is sin and what is misery, and what are all these, but the results of weakness?... Men are taught from childhood that they are weak and sinners. Teach them that they are all glorious children of immortality, even those who are the weakest in manifestation. Let positive, strong, helpful thoughts enter into their brains from very childhood. Lay yourselves open to these thoughts, and not to weakening and paralysing ones.

First build up your physique. Then only you can get control over the mind.

Never can hatred and malice vanish from one's heart unless one becomes a hero.

It is very easy to say, "Hate nobody, resist not evil," but we know what that kind of thing generally means in practice. When the eyes of society are turned towards us, we may make a show of non-resistance, but in our hearts it is canker all the time.. This is hypocrisy and will serve no purpose.
This is the one question I put to every man, woman, or child, when they are in physical, mental, or spiritual training. Are you strong? Do you feel strength? - for I know it is strength alone that leads to truth.

Stamping down the weakness of mind and heart, stand up, saying, "I am possessed of heroism, I am possessed of a steady intellect...: Never allow weakness to overtake your mind.

Strength is the medicine for the world's disease. Strength is the medicine which the poor must have when tyrannised over by the rich. Strength is the medicine that the ignorant must have when oppressed by the learned.
Non-injury is right; "resist not evil" is a great thing--these are indeed grand principles; but the scriptures say, "... if anyone smites you on your cheek, and you do not return him an eye for eye, a tooth for a tooth, you will verily be a sinner."

This is very true, and this is a thing which should not be forgotten. Heroes alone enjoy the world. Show your heroism... Otherwise, you live a disgraceful life if you pocket your insults when you are kicked and trodden down by anyone who takes it into his head to do so; your life is a veritable hell here, and so is the life hereafter. This is my advice to you... Of course do not do any wrong, do not injure or tyrannise over anyone, but try to do good to others as much as you can. But passively to submit to wrong done by others is a sin... Try to pay them back in their own coin then and there. If you cannot do that, how do you profess to be a man?
First you have to build the body by good nutritious food -- then only will the mind be strong. The mind is but the subtle part of the body.

The only test of good things is that they make us strong.

As soon as you say,"I am a little mortal being," you are saying something which is not true, you are giving the lie to yourselves, you are hypnotising yourselves into something vile and weak and wretched
The infinite strength of the world is yours. Drive out the superstition that has covered your minds. Let us be brave.

By degrees the heart has to be strengthened. If one man is made, it equals the result of a thousand lectures.

Whatever you think, that you will be. If you think yourselves weak, weak you will be; if you think yourselves strong, strong you will be; if you think yourselves impure, impure you will be; if you think yourselves pure, pure you will be. This teaches us not to think ourselves as weak, but as strong, omnipotent, omniscient.

Know that every thought and word that weakens you in the world is the only evil that exists. Whatever makes man weak and fear is the only evil that should be shunned.

The greatest sin is to think yourself weak.

I beg you to understand this one fact - no good comes out of the man who day and night thinks he is nobody. If a man day and night thinks he is miserable low and nothing, nothing he becomes... That is the great fact which you ought to remember

Being reminded of weakness does not help much; give strength, and strength does not come by thinking of weakness all the time. The remedy for weakness is not brooding over weakness, but thinking of strength.

If you tell a man, "You are low, you are vile." in season and out of season, then he is bound to believe in course of time that he is really such. This is called hypnotism.

To call another a sinner is the worst thing you can do.
Everybody is hypnotised already. The work of attaining freedom, of realising one's real nature, consists in de-hypnotisation.

Come up, O lions, and shake off the delusion that you are sheep; you are souls immortal, spirits free, blest and eternal; you are not matter, you are not bodies; matter is your servant, not you the servant of matter.
"Children of immortal bliss" - what a sweet, what a hopeful name! Allow me to call you, brethren, by that sweet name - beings of immortal bliss... You are the children of God, the sharers of immortal bliss, holy and perfect beings. You divinities on earth - sinners! It is sin to call a man so; it is a standing libel on human nature.

The more I live, the more I become convinced everyday that every human being is dinine. In no man or woman, however vile, does that divinity die.

Studying the external alone, man begins to feel himself to be nothing. These vast powers of nature, these tremendous changes occurring - whole communities wiped off the face of the earth in a twinkling of time, one volcanic eruption shattering to pieces whole continents - perceiving and studying these things, man begins to feel himself weak. Therefore it is not the study of external nature that makes one strong. But there is the internal nature of man - a million times more powerful than any volcanic eruption or any law of nature - which conquers nature, triumphs over all its laws. And that alone teaches man what he is.

One stumbles more than another, and him who stumbles more we call bad, him who stumbles less we call good... The difference is not one of kind, but of degree.

In spite of the greatness of the Upanishads, in spite of our boasted ancestry of sages, compared to many other races, I must tell you that we are weak, very weak. First of all is our physical weakness. That physical weakness is the cause of at least one-third of our miseries.

Do you know how much energy, how many powers, how many forces are still lurking behind that frame of yours? What scientist has known all that is in man? Millions of years have passed since man first came here, and yet but one infinitesimal part of his powers has been manifested. Therefore, you must not say that you are weak. How do you know what possiblities lie behind that degradation on the surface? You know but little of that which is within you. For behind you is the ocean of infinite power and blessedness.
